Located on Kirula Road in Colombo 05, Asiri Medical Hospital occupies a constrained urban site within a well-established healthcare precinct. The project involved the refurbishment, retrofit, and expansion of the existing hospital while maintaining continuous operations throughout the construction period. The works focused on improving the functionality and efficiency of the hospital through the reorganisation of clinical, administrative, and support spaces. New additions were integrated with the existing building to accommodate expanding healthcare requirements, while circulation and operational workflows were adjusted to improve patient movement and service delivery. The project also included interior design upgrades, landscape improvements, revised arrival and drop-off areas, and enhancements to the overall patient environment. Careful coordination was required to implement the works within an active hospital setting while ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
